Brightwave Delivers International Compliance Learning for Exel

Date posted: 10 January 2006

Comprehensive e-learning suite on regulatory compliance for global delivery to managers

Brightwave, the workplace learning specialist, has completed a set of nine e-learning modules for Exel, the global leader in supply chain management. The e-learning modules include training on topics such as code of conduct, anti-competitive behaviour, environmental compliance and intellectual property protection, and they are tracked against the company's learning management system.

"Regulation of business activity affects our operations across the world. It is important that our staff work to the high standards of compliance that Exel is committed to," said Ian Goulden, Head of Legal Compliance for Exel. "We were impressed with Brightwave's capabilities. They have worked exceptionally well within tight timescales and delivered a creative learning solution."

An animated communication trailer was created to raise the awareness of the training. It was distributed to the managers before the e-learning so that they knew what was coming and why it is important for them to complete the training. By integrating communication with learning, Exel can maximise the effectiveness of its training programme.

"Brightwave is well known for creating stimulating and effective e-learning that goes beyond the basic requirement of tracking legal compliance," said Lars Hyland, Director of Learning Services for Brightwave. "With our approach, staff can recognise the personal responsibilities that lie behind corporate policies that are often perceived as dry and irrelevant to their day-to-day work. By focusing on attitudinal shift, our solutions support genuine adherence to best practice across the organisation."
